Kerfoot’s next CEO is Young Gun of the Year

Yorkshire businesswoman, Jennifer Kerfoot, has triumphed at the prestigious Red Ribbon Awards where she was announced as the UK’s ‘Young Gun’ of 2012 in recognition of outstanding achievements in a family business.

Jennifer, who is Commercial Director of Packed Oils and Group People Director of independent vegetable oils company, The Kerfoot Group, was presented with the award at a ceremony in London last week. She was one of six shortlisted candidates that included nominees

KSO Feeling Fruity at SCS – here come the girls!

Monday 12th November

Well, the time has come for the girls to head off on the road down to Coventry for the SCS Formulate exhibition. The car was packed to the rafters & the three of us only just managed to fit in with our cases (well you have to be prepared…hairdryer, straighteners, more outfits than we could possibly need for two days etc!)

We arrived at Ricoh Stadium with the security guards giving us 20 minutes to unpack, set up the stand

Catwalk Capers

Catwalk Capers is an annual charity event held to raise money on behalf of Yorkshire Cancer Research. Each year in Northallerton there is an incredible response from local companies and organisations who want to get involved with this really special night.

The criteria is simple – dress your team members with clothes purchased from charity shops for less than £25 per outfit.  Each team should have a theme and will be scored on originality and creativity.

Muppets in Paris

The SIAL exhibition in Paris is one of the annual highlights on the food industry calendar. As a regular visitor to the incredible event The Kerfoot Group saw this as the perfect opportunity to meet new clients, as well as consolidate its relationships with its existing customers and suppliers within the industry.

With this in mind, we decided to send representatives from all three divisions; Bulk Oils, Packed Oils and Speciality Oils. Representing Packed Oils was Jennifer Kerfoot,

Wear it Pink

We have a particular attachment to Cancer charities at The Kerfoot Group, because one or two of us has been affected in some way or another over the years. So, 26 October was our Wear it Pink Day!! From pink shoes, to ties, shirts, scarves (and other items we couldn’t see but were assured were being worn!) we all did our bit to Pink it up.

We had a game of guess the Pink Superhero, Douglas won with his guess of ‘Pink Storm’, he received half the game money and the other half
