Charity Bike Ride

Following on from the blog about our 12 hour Sponsored Bike ride in aid of the ‘Alzheimer’s Society’ charity on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd April, here’s the news you’ve all ben waiting for………….the amount raised! Job Title: PA to Chief Executive

1. Explain your role in a maximum of 2 sentences. I am PA to Jennifer Kerfoot our Chief Exec, PA to Anthony Lawrence the Interim MD & I also assist the rest of the Board when they need it. I am also the company travel agent and arrange most of the corporate entertainment – I’m multi-functional!

At the Kerfoot group we have decided to support a different charity every quarter. We got our employees to nominate and vote on the charities they would like us as a company to support throughout 2016.
Over the coming week we have charity events going on at all out sites in aid of Alzheimer’s’ society. For this event we have decided to do a 12 Hour Sponsored Bike Ride – HOW CRAZY!
We are going to keep the wheels turning on an exercise bike for a full 12 hours in reception

Introducing ‘The Incredibles’

February saw the introduction of our first ever ‘Employee of the Month’ scheme. Over the previous months we spent a lot of time looking into the different ways we can recognise and reward all the great things that our employees do. Once all the research, information and ideas had been digested, ‘The Incredibles’ was born.

Jean-Baptiste Bachelerie

After graduating from AgroParisTech (ENSIA) in France, Jean-Baptiste started his career with Nestle in Africa before moving to France with them. Following this he joined the consultancy firm McKinsey in their London office as an associate specialising in lean manufacturing. He then occupied several positions as Plant General Manager, Industrial Director and Operations Director with Lactalis and Danone in France and South Africa. Sarah Joined TKG in April 2017 as Chief Exec. Sarah has experience in a wide variety of business environments including branded FMCG, having spent her early career at Premier Foods and then Cadbury. Sarah has multi sector experience across retail, foodservice and B2B in both entrepreneurial family owned business and private equity backed business; most latterly at Symington’s as Group Supply Chain Director and Managing Director of the ambient meals business.

Alison Wilkinson

Alison joined The Kerfoot Group in 2009 as Group Receptionist following an earlier career in Retail Operations. After a real grounding on the reception desk she moved into the Business and spent periods in various divisions before settling in the Speciality Division in 2011 – initially as a Sales Executive before stepping into leading the team in 2013 and becoming Speciality Commercial Director in January 2017. She is now responsible for an 11 strong Procurement, Sales & Admin

Sarah Stokes

Having studied Interior Textiles at University & graduated in 1996, Sarah joined Ikea and their Management Development program in 1998 becoming a Retail Manager across a variety of departments before joining B&Q as a Department Manager in 2001. Sarah moved to the North East in 2003 and took a change of direction within B&Q and joined the HR team becoming an HR Advisor at stores across the region before joining The Kerfoot Group in 2011 as the Group HR Manager. Steve Savage

Steve graduated from Buckinghamshire New University following an engineering apprenticeship with Nestle. From there he joined the BMW Group where he worked for ten years in Project Management, Production Management as well as being the Factory General Manager for the Mini plant Paintshop in Oxford. In 2011 he moved to North Yorkshire to head up Operations and Engineering with Molson Coors at their Tadcaster Brewery producing Carling, the UKs number one lager. Steve joined The Kerfoot
