Children in Need 2013 – Bare Faced Ladies and the Kerfoot Glamour Girls (or boys!)
It’s no secret that we are a charitable bunch here at The Kerfoot Group and we love nothing more than raising money for good causes, particularly as an excuse to eat cake and be a bit silly! So on Friday 15th November the whole team were thrilled to take part in Children in Need 2014.
There was plenty going on…It goes without saying that Mary (Berry) Robson, Group Receptionist baked one of her delicious cakes using Kerfoot Oils, in the shape of Pudsey Bear of course. Mary also organised a sweepstake and a raffle, which always creates some good healthy competition, especially as there was chocolate at stake as prizes in the raffle (you don’t know the meaning of the word chocaholic unless you’ve met the Kerfoot team)!
Emily Hawksworth, KSO Sales Executive organised a unique fundraising activity – “Bear Faced”, which involved women all over the country being sponsored to go without make-up for the day. I’m sure all you ladies out there will agree that is a very scary prospect indeed. We even decided to go one better than that and swap with the boys, so bravely they came in wearing make-up whilst we weren’t wearing any! Jamie Atkinson, Logistics Desk Support put us all to shame and went for the full on Pudsey Bear face paint!
We were absolutely thrilled that the day raised over £100 (sponsorship money is still being collected!) What an incredible way to help a very deserving cause. We can’t wait until next year now, although I’m not sure how we’ll top that!
