It’s Tropos Time!
Months & months of anticipation, planning & hard work has gone into it & on a snowy Monday morning on the 14th January 2013 it is finally here… The Kerfoot Group TROPOS Launch!
Our new ERP system, TROPOS, is set to revolutionise the way we operate making us even more efficient & increasing our already very high standards of customer service. We were all very excited to start using the system so to mark the day of the launch we had balloons all around the office, specially printed post-it notes & Mary Robson’s (our Group Receptionist) amazing computer-shaped cake!
We have overcome many obstacles on the bumpy road to implementing Tropos & we have finally got there, which is for the most part down to the work of our fantastic & hugely patient Systems Division – Chris Smith, Technical Director; Richard Hodgson, Systems Manager; Alan Rossington, IT Technician; consultants Neil Ivory & Robert Kirkpatrick, & our Finance Director Anthony Lawrence. During all the ups & downs they never faltered in their enthusiasm for the project & their determination to be successful.
The Tropos system will tie all of our divisions together so there is seamless communication from the moment a customer makes an enquiry through to their oil being delivered to their door by one of our drivers & then the invoice being paid. It will help our commercial divisions (packed, bulk and speciality), logistics, treasury, technical & production teams to know exactly what our customers need & when.
It’s Incredible how much our new Tropos system will improve the way we work. The future certainly is bright.
