Cycling from Northallerton to Paris

Thomas & Jennifer were at Northallerton Town Hall at 7am yesterday to wave off Tom Schofield, Hamish Marsden, Phillip Birch & Ian Duffus as they began their 600 mile journey to Paris on bicycles!  All from Yorkshire, their objective is to raise £5,000 for The Alzeihmer’s Society, the leading UK care and research charity for people with Alzeihmer’s disease and other dementias, their families and their carers.

They are cycling over 100 miles a day to be at the Eiffel Tower on Easter Sunday.  Last night they arrived into Newark by 5pm which is massively impressive given the unexpected weather conditions.  Today they are aiming for Cambridge, a 110 mile quest!  You can follow their journey, all trials & tribulations (including how Phillip is cycling with a broken arm!) via Twitter!/Yorkshire2Paris.

We are delighted to be able to sponsor the Yorkshire2Paris cycle for a cause which is so close to many people here at The Kerfoot Group.  We understand the boys are 82% towards their target & are utterly confident that come their arrival on Sunday many more will dig deeper to hit the jackpot.  On behalf of everyone here, we wish the boys much luck, dry weather, no punctures & plenty of vaseline (we wonder if there is a natural vegetable oil we could suggest to do the same job – it really is incredible how many different oils we produce)!
