Kerfoot welcomes the Olympic flame
Tomorrow the excitement of the 2012 Olympic Games comes to Yorkshire. What an incredible opportunity for everyone to be part of our British history.
Standing proud everyone at The Kerfoot Group are hugely excited to welcome the Olympic Torch to Yorkshire. Tomorrow, Tuesday 19 June the torch will be passing through Goole at 8.29am starting at Boothferry Road and, after a few diversions via other streets, it will join it’s convoy again at Rawcliffe Road. Fortunately, for our Goole-based people this passes very close to our Packed and Speciality Oil factories, not to mention our Bulk Oil terminal.
And for all our Olive House people the flame will be passing through Northallerton on Wednesday 20 June, starting in Northallerton at 10.14am on Thirsk Road before going down the High Street, right at the roundabout onto East Road, and along South Parade before continuing to Bedale.
The event is sure to be spectacular and our thanks and best wishes go to all who have taken part, and will be taking part, enabling us to spectate this incredible journey.
If you have any stories, photos or comments relating to the Olympic Torch in Goole or Northallerton, we would love to see or hear about them.
[Although we don’t know of any torch bearers, our Commercial Director Thomas Kerfoot completed a Triathalon yesterday – we think he would be perfect for it after his performance! Congratulations!]
