Race day gallops to success

Despite the forecasts, the sun shone down on the 5th September in North Yorkshire, when The Kerfoot Group hosted their 2015 Race Day at Thirsk Racecourse courtesy of Chief Executive Jennifer Kerfoot.
Dapper hats, smart outfits and few slightly more bronzed folk filled The Kerfoot Marque and that’s just in reference to the men!
Teams from both Goole and Northallerton descended on the racecourse, where of course oil was at the forefront with each table named after an oil source that The Kerfoot Group supplies. Although it’s certainly fair to say a much larger marque would have been required if we were to feature enough tables named after every oil source we supply!
With fantastic food and drink on offer and lots of opportunities to catch up with other colleagues and their partners, many may have forgotten about the horses!
Although it must be said betting was taken very serious throughout the day, as of course you would expect! A tipster talk headed things off but with rumours that the traders had inside information and few guests having already placed their bets before arriving, you definitely can’t say that The Kerfoot Group isn’t anything but competitive!
In the end of the day though, despite all the knowledge, tips and statistics; the key to success may have just been through picking your favourite colour or knowing your handbag designers!
Overall, even though a few individuals were robbed from Best Dressed titles; all who attended enjoyed a fantastic day with even a few lucky soles managing to leave with more cash in their pockets by the end of the day!
