Another Incredible Spot!

Natalie Robson the sister of Tom Robson, KSO Sales Executive, spotted one of our trucks on the A1 near Castleford today Friday 30 May. She was so Incredibly excited at seeing one of the trucks from the company her brother works for that she sent it straight into him. It was our driver Rob Morley who had finished his last delivery and was on his way back to Goole after another busy week delivering all over the UK.

If you see one of our drivers out and about then please take a photo (if

Kerfoot Truck Spotted!

We’ve had another truck spotted by one of our website regulars!  Huge thanks to William Calvert for sending this in – from the photo it looks like he was good enough to let our truck pull in front of him!

Just incredible” he said of our truck & we must admit that it does look particularly fabulous today.

Thank you very much William, keep your eyes peeled for more

It’s another Incredible Truck Spot!

This picture was very kindly sent to us by Jane Tennant from Wetherby who spotted our truck on the M1 near Chesterfield on 24 January. It certainly looks Incredible and really stands out on the cold winters day!

The driver was Bill Farmery, who’s been driving for The Kerfoot Group for over 6 years now. He’d had a long drive back up from Bristol when he was spotted by Jane.

Thank you Jane and keep on truck spotting!

All I Want For Christmas Is…?!

During the month of December we thought we would share some of our favourite Christmas stories.  Here is our third one for the month – Dawn Whitehouse, Group Logistics Manager based at Kerfoot HQ, The Olive House, in Northallerton.

What do you love about Christmas?  “Spending time with friends and family, and giving presents, I love to see the look on their faces!”

What is the worst Christmas present you’ve ever had?  “I have always

Another bike ride – this time Abbey Road Tankers

We are very proud to be supporting to a really worthwhile charity, Macmillan Cancer Support, by sponsoring one of our hauliers, Abbey Logistics Group, who are doing a 5 country bike ride and hoping to raise £5000.  Yes, FIVE countries!

On Thursday 13th September a group of 6 people including their Managing Director and two drivers are setting off on a 500 mile bicycle journey from the Cargill factory in Krefeld, Germany.  The journey will take them across 5 countries

Logistics Coordinator swaps office for truck

There is usually only one 4am in my day however on Friday 10th August I discovered there were two as it was my turn to experience a day in a Kerfoot truck.  The route planned was six deliveries of KPO and KSO oil throughout the South Yorkshire area.  Armed with sandwiches and a flask of tea my driver for the day was Dave Hodgson and at 6:30am we departed our Goole James Street factory and headed on our way.

Despite working in Logistics for a few years now I had never

New mode of transport for Logistics

I just had to tell the world this story from my holiday in Olu Deniz in Turkey – the one time when I wasn’t worrying about moving our vegetable oils around the world!

After a 40 minute heated bus ride in 58°C heat I found myself 6000 feet above Olu Deniz town!  My tandem flight partner got me ready for take off, helmet on, backpack on then attaching the paraglide to the back of him it was time to go (after checking the paraglide was not tangled… at which point I

Another Kerfoot truck spotted!

Thank you to Natalie from Suffolk who contacted us yesterday with this photograph.  It was one of our KPO drivers, Steve Johnson, on a two-day delivery run, all parked up for the night.

I’ve spotted you!  I went for a walk in the sunshine last night & saw you parked up in my sleepy village, Kentford; we are about 10 miles from Bury St Edmunds so I wonder if you were or had been delivering oils there?  It was a such a lovely evening – your driver

One day, one Kerfoot Tanker, one Kerfoot Manager…

Surprisingly, as the Group Logistics Manager I had never spent a day out on the road with one of our trucks, that was, until recently.  The Logistics Division was keen to rectify this so on 2 May I found myself on my way to visit our James Street site in Goole and spend the day with one of our bulk oils tankers.

I was keen to learn what a typical day was like for a Kerfoot driver and gain a better understanding of how a bulk oil tanker was loaded and discharged.  My alarm went
