Community affairs

The Kerfoot Group is proud to support a number of invaluable community-based projects and charity fundraising activities. Here are just a few of the organisations that we have worked with during this year:

Bedale Junior Football ClubBedale Girl’s Under 14 football team
Supported by The Kerfoot Group

The Kerfoot Group have sponsored a kit for Bedale Girl's Under 14 football team which has spurred them on to beat Catterick Garrison FC to reach the final of the Wensleydale Nike Junior Football League Under 14 Cup Final.

Elizabeth Kerfoot, Financial Director was delighted to sponsor the team as she was impressed with their commitment and enthusiasm and felt that girls teams were often overlooked in favour of the boys.

St Oswalds

St Oswald's in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne, provides hospice care for adults, young people and children with life limiting conditions such as Cancer and Motor Neurone Disease.
Their wide range of services includes an Inpatient Unit, Day Hospice, a Day Treatment Unit, an Outpatient Clinic, Complementary Therapy and Outreach.
A gift of oils from Kerfoot Speciality Oils was donated to the Complementary Therapy Department at St Oswald’s and we hope their services will continue to improve the quality of life for patients at the Hospice.

The Pendragon Community Trust The Pendragon Community Trust aims to build or convert a property locally for severely multi-disabled people to create a better life for them. The aim is to provide very high quality care in an environment that will be stimulating.

Congratulations to Anthony Lawrence (Group Accountant) and Christine (driver Denys Kay's wife) for raising money for the Pendragon Community Trust this year. They both completed the Great North Run in very respectable times: Christine in 2 hours 55 mins and Anthony in 2 hours 36 mins.

Jeans for Genes

The Kerfoot Group's staff again supported this annual event by wearing jeans to work on Friday 2nd October. They were pleased to raise £150 for the charity and received a special thanks.
