Entreprenueur of the Year 2012
Everyone at The Kerfoot Group passed on their sincere congratulations to their Chief Executive David Kerfoot on his remarkable achievement of reaching the North regional finals of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards 2012.
The awards were held on the 26 June 2012 at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester and were hosted by TV and Radio Presenter Jeremy Vine. David was accompanied to the award ceremony by his children, Jennifer (Commercial Director of Packed Oils) and Thomas (Commercial Director of Speciality Oils).
All the finalists demonstrated that entrepreneurship was still flourishing in the North despite the economic climate. The characteristics that the judges looked for amongst all nominees was their drive and spirit, willingness to take risks, a clear vision for future growth, resilience to overcome significant hurdles, playing to their strengths and effectively using resources available to them.
Speaking at the event, Ernst & Young’s North region representative, Executive Director in Tax Simon Whiteside, said “Every year, we are impressed with the scale of entrepreneurship within this region – 2012 has been no exception. The programme gets bigger and better each year. The remarkable entrepreneurs in this room have combined revenues of £6bn. They are the ones who will drive growth and lead our economic recovery.”
Although David didn’t win this coveted award The Kerfoot Group is extremely proud of his achievement for reaching the regional finals and join him in congratulating the winner Fred Done, Founder and CEO of Betfred. They look forward to hopefully seeing him win the national finals at the end of the year.Back to all news
