Production Supervisor

Shift Supervisors, are you able to monitor and drive production performance through motivation and development of operatives, thereby ensuring quality of products and on time deliveries? You will be required to:

  • Motivate, co-ordinate, coach and manage team members to get the most from each person & team including supporting team member performance reviews
  • Lead daily team briefs and SIM
  • Plan labour including drivers through loading activities inclusive of agency staff
  • Supervise activities and ensure that the person on each job is competent, trained and working effectively through co-ordinating and/or performing process training to SOPs
  • Complete absence return to work forms, participate in operative recruitment process and disciplinary meetings
  • Ensure product quality is maintained and all customer requirements and daily outputs are delivered in full
  • Compile and communicate shift and performance reports
  • Inform/update colleagues and collaborate on issues and problems
  • Ensure oils, consumables, packaging and all other resources are in place to meet the plan and daily production & loading KPIs are measured, recorded & achieved
  • Perform daily process adherence checks e.g. tank readings, stock-checks, equipment PPM
  • Prepare information for shop floor and update ERP systems
  • Supervise site environmental aspects (effluent, lighting, workplace conditions etc.) and ensure H&S is the 1st priority and safe practices are upheld by all by identifying, managing & reporting all immediate H&S risks
  • Understand audit requirements and proactively support high standards including performing internal audits and implement corrective actions

To be considered for an interview, you must have the following:

  • Strong H&S knowledge & experience (IOSH trained desirable)
  • People & team supervisory experience (min 2 years desirable)

Commercial Sales Administrator

Commercial Sales administrators, do you have strong administrative skills? Are you able to ensure that customer orders are processed in a timely fashion? What is the role?

The Sales Administrator will report to the Commercial Manager and will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Sales team. The Divisions offer a range of oils both edible and cosmetic. The Sales Administrator ensures that customer orders are processed in a timely fashion, communicating with Production and Logistics and supporting query resolution.

  • Ensure all computer input & division administration is completed accurately & efficiently
  • Monitor accounts very frequently & use initiative to take appropriate action
  • Develop & maintain effective relationships with customers, service current accounts, make follow up calls
  • Ensures a high level of service is maintained at all times in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure a strong working relationship with Treasury, Operations & Quality Divisions
  • Support meeting sales targets through cost awareness and exceeding other agreed performance targets

IT Support Analyst

Core Responsibilities

  • Support of systems located at Northallerton, Goole and other Kerfoot Sites as appropriate ensuring that the IT & electronic communication infrastructure is available to all employees, outside of pre-planned system downtime, by the effective hands on management of IT equipment including system management, installation & component replacement.
  • Configuration and deployment of new server hardware and software, including ongoing maintenance of such software.
  • Monitoring performance and troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and undertaking data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments.
  • Ensure system and equipment security is maintained by ensuring anti-virus and software update systems are up to date and operational. Compliance with Group Security policies and ensuring all hardware is secured to current standards.
  • Provide server monitoring and reporting and maintain system availability and reliability.
  • Monitor and maintain database and system integrity.
  • Troubleshoot systems hardware/software problems, liaise with 3rd party hardware & software suppliers to ensure problem resolution within agreed SLA. 
  • Provide technical support to end users, information and assist in the delivery of system incident Root Cause Analysis reports in line with the group Service desk.
  • Develop and maintain technical support processes, user manuals and other documentation as necessary to support service delivery.
  • General administration of the group ERP system.
  • Provide support to Systems projects as and when required in line with the business needs.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous proven experience in an IT Support role with broad exposure to a range of technologies, operating systems & environments.
  • Excellent problem solving skills with fault finding experience & knowledge
  • IT Degree, BTEC National Certificate/Diploma for IT Practitioners, Microsoft Certification or equivalent qualification/experience.
  • Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows Server & Desktop O/S based environments
  • Knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, sub netting, OSI network layers, and other networking concepts (LAN/ WAN).
  • Experience with web site development and management including IIS and HTML.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL & Exchange Server configuration & troubleshooting including RDBMS configuration, SQL / TSQL.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (i.e. Hyper V, VMware) and SAN storage technologies.
  • Experience with monitoring, antivirus, anti-spam & security systems.
  • Active Directory administration, including group policy creation and amendments.
  • Experience in supporting business critical ERP systems (i.e. TROPOS).

Application Support Analyst

Core Responsibilities

  • Reviewing how applications are used & assisting end users to adopt better working practices.
  • Development and maintenance to the group ERP system, ensuring it works as efficiently as possible for all users.
  • Maintain SQL maintenance jobs, stored procedures and other business processes.
  • Development of new and existing reports across various business systems and databases.
  • The configuration of new software, including ongoing maintenance and further development of new and existing software applications.
  • Performance tuning and optimisation of new and existing software applications and databases.
  • Monitoring Application performance and troubleshooting application problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and undertaking fault investigations.
  • Compliance with Group Security policies and ensuring all software is secured to current standards.
  • Monitor and maintain database and system integrity.
  • Troubleshoot systems software problems, liaise with 3rd party software suppliers to ensure problem resolution within agreed SLA.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience of working within SQL Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Proven experience of working with Microsoft SQL Server Databases (RDBMS) (TSQL)
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, VB.net, and VBA.
  • Experience of working with various database technologies e.g. SQL, MySQL and SQL Express.

Logistics

Logistics Team Leader

Core Responsibilities

Q E H&S

  • Ensure H&S is the #1 priority and safe practices are upheld by all
  • Investigate all Logistics Division Non-Conformances and manage investigations through to resolution
  • Compile and feedback statistical information gathered from root cause analysis outcomes
  • Identify, manage & report all immediate H&S risks
  • Ensure that divisional requirements are met and customer orders are delivered in full
  • Gather, prepare and present information for internal and external audits within areas of responsibility
  • Perform internal audits and implement corrective actions

People

  • Supervisory responsibility for 2 planners and 3 co-ordinators
  • Daily dialog with the Lead Driver to support co-ordination of onsite operations and delivery of the plan
  • Work closely with the Senior Logistics Planner to facilitate the supervision of the Logistics Team
  • Provide cover for the Group Logistics Manager when they are unavailable
  • Motivate, coach and supervise team members to get the most from each person & team
  • Lead daily team briefs (Planning team) and SIM (short interval management)
  • Co-ordinate & organise team members onto daily jobs and activities
  • Supervise activities to ensure that each task is being performed correctly
  • Identify and communicate any training requirements / opportunities

Operational tasks

  • Plan and schedule daily workloads for KVO and KPO divisions, ensuring all customer requirements and daily outputs are delivered in full
  • Utilise routing and scheduling software to maximise the efficiency of the fleet
  • Arrange back loads as much possible to return used IBCs for reuse
  • Plan and schedule fleet maintenance for all LGV’s and trailers
  • Keep maintenance files up to date and in order
  • Plan and organise resources (drivers, vehicles and trailers) to meet fluctuations in demand
  • Ensure the Tachograph and WTD management system is kept up to date.
  • Monitor infringement frequency rates and types, organising retraining where necessary to reduce infringements
  • Manage staff training requirements and arrange training course attendance
  • Compile and communicate shift and performance reports
  • Inform/update colleagues and collaborate on issues and problems

 

Goole

 

Production Operatives

Reporting into the Group Operations Manager, there are the following opportunities based at our production sites in Goole, East Yorkshire.

We have several brand new openings for Production Operatives within our manufacturing sites. Experience within a manufacturing or factory environment working on an automated production line would be preferable. The ideal candidate will have a good level of numeracy and IT skills, work at a fast pace whilst marinating attention to detail. The roles will involve filling containers of oil in a manual and automated environment, as well as producing labels and associated paperwork. You will need good communication skills and be able to work well in a team, as well as on your own. FLT license with experience would be desirable.
