Overview
The Kerfoot Group is at the cutting edge of supplying, developing and sourcing niche oils and seeds from around the world. Our ever-growing range includes carrier oils, essential oils, butters and waxes, and reflects our wide customer base. We cater for the cosmetic, food and growing nutritional markets.
As one of the largest stockists of organically certified oils, we are licensed by the Soil Association (P5494) and are in the process of securing United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Organic Program (NOP) certification.
An exciting new development is the creation of a commercial cold-pressing plant at our site at Leeming Bar in North Yorkshire, which will produce oils like borage, flax, strawberry and many more. It will also allow us to support and contract work to local farmers. Read on for more information about Cold Pressing.
Our pack sizes are a reflection of our ability to cater for a wide range of customers, from sole traders to large multi-nationals. We can supply in 4.6kg, 23kg and 200kg drums, as well as intermediate bulk containers, typically 920kg and 950kg net weights.

The growing use of oils in skin care products
There is a growing market for skincare products containing natural ingredients, rather than chemical ingredients such as propylene glycol, mineral oils and alcohol isopropyl.
Our skin is the most important mechanism for protecting the body against toxins and also the largest organ for eliminating waste. Commercial products containing petroleum can block the skin's pores, making it easier for germs to get in and more difficult for toxins to escape. Natural seed oils tend to work better with the chemistry of the body.
Oils provide skin softening and smoothing properties, and help to offer protection from the harmful effects of the environment, such as pollution and the sun's ultra violet rays.
Oils also provide other beneficial properties for the skin, including essential fatty acids (EFAs), which are vital for healthy skin and retaining moisture; amino acids, which strengthen the hair; and vitamins to support the renewal of skin cells.
