Kerfoot Truck Spotted!

We’ve had another truck spotted by one of our website regulars!  Huge thanks to William Calvert for sending this in – from the photo it looks like he was good enough to let our truck pull in front of him!

Just incredible” he said of our truck & we must admit that it does look particularly fabulous today.

Thank you very much William, keep your eyes peeled for more

OIL Systems GO!!

Treasury Team finished off 2012 in our usual no.1 spot… yes, we won the Kerfoot Christmas Quiz for the 3rd consecutive year!  This was the highlight of our year – the quiz proved more tense than dealing with Tropos queries, I can promise you that!

2012 however also saw KSO go LIVE on our new TROPOS system with very little teething problems; with KPO & KBO going live this week we are expecting their transition to be as smooth – all orders flying through

An Incredible BRC Result – again!

After a hugely successful 2012, what better way to move into 2013 than with top grade BRC audit results across the whole of The Kerfoot Group?!

After achieving A-grade BRC audit results for both the James Street and South Street (Bulk Terminal) sites in Goole, The Kerfoot Group Speciality Oils (KSO) business has also received top marks with ZERO non conformances in the entire audit for the Global Standard for Food Safety v6 and the Global Standard for Storage and Distribution

KSO Feeling Fruity at SCS – here come the girls!

Monday 12th November

Well, the time has come for the girls to head off on the road down to Coventry for the SCS Formulate exhibition. The car was packed to the rafters & the three of us only just managed to fit in with our cases (well you have to be prepared…hairdryer, straighteners, more outfits than we could possibly need for two days etc!)

We arrived at Ricoh Stadium with the security guards giving us 20 minutes to unpack, set up the stand

Catwalk Capers

Catwalk Capers is an annual charity event held to raise money on behalf of Yorkshire Cancer Research. Each year in Northallerton there is an incredible response from local companies and organisations who want to get involved with this really special night.

The criteria is simple – dress your team members with clothes purchased from charity shops for less than £25 per outfit.  Each team should have a theme and will be scored on originality and creativity.

Logistics Coordinator swaps office for truck

There is usually only one 4am in my day however on Friday 10th August I discovered there were two as it was my turn to experience a day in a Kerfoot truck.  The route planned was six deliveries of KPO and KSO oil throughout the South Yorkshire area.  Armed with sandwiches and a flask of tea my driver for the day was Dave Hodgson and at 6:30am we departed our Goole James Street factory and headed on our way.

Despite working in Logistics for a few years now I had never

A day in the life of a KPO Production Supervisor

My day starts at 4:15am travelling to work for The Kerfoot Group at their Packed Oils factory on James Street in Goole.  Work starts at 5am on an early shift and as I am preparing in the factory for the day’s production I usually see all the Kerfoot trucks with their “It’s Incredible” logos emblazoned on the sides leaving site to deliver their first orders of the day!

At our Packed Oils factory we mainly concentrate on bulk orders, whether the oil is filled in IBCs

I saw the Olympic Torch in Northallerton!

On Wednesday 20th June the Olympic torch visited Northallerton at 10am – people packed the streets to catch a glimpse of the torch on its route to the Olympic stadium.  I decided to witness this once in a life time event for myself, and what an exciting an uplifting experience it turned out to be.  I decided, as with the bulk of the Northallerton people, that I would try and see the torch at the start and end of its journey through the town, and so made my way to the starting point

Cycling from Northallerton to Paris

Thomas & Jennifer were at Northallerton Town Hall at 7am yesterday to wave off Tom Schofield, Hamish Marsden, Phillip Birch & Ian Duffus as they began their 600 mile journey to Paris on bicycles!  All from Yorkshire, their objective is to raise £5,000 for The Alzeihmer’s Society, the leading UK care and research charity for people with Alzeihmer’s disease and other dementias, their families and their carers.

They are cycling over 100 miles a day to be at the

Eye spy with my little eye…

…an incredible truck!

So as well as being uber-busy with our new website we have also very recently launched an upgraded fleet of vehicles incorporating our new motherbrand.  Across both our HGV curtain-sided vehicles and our bulk road tankers, the It’s Incredible theme is now on the roads across the UK and continent.

I like to keep a check on the Logistics division great pride and joy so I am constantly asking the commercial teams when they are out and about
