Bob Grimston Retirement

After 11 years of loyal service working as a HGV driver, Bob Grimston has decided to take the difficult decision to take his retirement from The Kerfoot Group. Bob is a shining example of a quality HGV driver and is a role model among his peers. He has earned this respect by being helpful and understanding but never afraid to have a ‘motivational’ word when required. Bob was always willing to go the extra mile to help out a colleague or a customer and he was always a pleasure speak to.

The end of my first month. Steve Savage Group Operations Director.

At the end of my first month as part of the Kerfoot team it seems like a good time to post my first Blog and let you all know what I’ve been using my time doing. I’ve been immediately struck by the passion people have for our oil products, the dedication and pride in making sure we always put our customers first and the attitude of people to work as one team and go the extra mile.

I’ve been using much of my time so far to meet and begin to get to know my new teams at the three

From the office to the open roads

On Tuesday 28th January, I started my day very differently to the usual. I arrived at Olive House, our Northallerton Head Office at around 8.30am to change into my safety shoes & put on my hi-viz jacket. Today was the day I swapped the desk job to be a passenger with one of our fabulous Kerfoot HGV drivers. My teacher/guide for the day was Bob Grimston. After a quick photo & ensuring I got into the cab ok (as I was thinking HOW will I get up there?!) Bob talked me through what would

Goodbye to an old friend

Replacing anything is always a bitter sweet experience, wouldn’t you agree?

The Kerfoot Group Logistics team are saddened to finally say goodbye to ‘Zulu’. Our oldest vehicle has unfortunately reached its best before date after many thousands of miles service. From arriving at our doors in 2005 up to the present day, our trusted ZWU has served us well over the years and even those instances that frustrated us don’t seem too bad now…thanks to those rose coloured glasses. We

Two men, one morning and a 40 tonne truck!

It was one of the stranger starts to a day I’ve had in a few years! I woke up at 5.30am for a rendezvous with one of our HGV drivers – my guide for the morning was Dave Hodgson and I would be accompanying him on his morning route around the Northeast, delivering our fantastic oils to three Kerfoot Packed Oils clients.

In the Logistics Division at The Kerfoot Group, our day-to-day role is to ensure our oil is delivered to our customers where and when they need it. This

Kerfoot Truck Spotted!

We’ve had another truck spotted by one of our website regulars!  Huge thanks to William Calvert for sending this in – from the photo it looks like he was good enough to let our truck pull in front of him!

Just incredible” he said of our truck & we must admit that it does look particularly fabulous today.

Thank you very much William, keep your eyes peeled for more

From A to B in style…

You thought Kerfoots couldn’t get any better…. Think again! As our already impressive fleet of vehicles & trailers are already stylish & on trend, we are proud to say that we have just received the final trailer in our recent  order of 4 (pictured) As you can see our vehicles are very eye catching & easy to spot when out & about on the road – Bright, Bold, Catchy & Modern.

We are always looking to deliver our products in the best possible way, with our

All I Want For Christmas Is…?!

During the month of December we thought we would share some of our favourite Christmas stories.  Here is our third one for the month – Dawn Whitehouse, Group Logistics Manager based at Kerfoot HQ, The Olive House, in Northallerton.

What do you love about Christmas?  “Spending time with friends and family, and giving presents, I love to see the look on their faces!”

What is the worst Christmas present you’ve ever had?  “I have always

Another bike ride – this time Abbey Road Tankers
