Core Responsibilities

• Responsible for accounting procedures and reconciliations regarding:
  • Salaries and wages
  • CAPEX and Fixed Asset Management
  • Stock valuation
  • Other overheads
• Preparation and provision of timely, accurate daily/weekly/monthly management and other financial information to support the production of but not limited to:
  • Management accounts & board pack
  • Statutory accounts
  • Corporation tax calculations
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
• Provision of timely, relevant and understandable information to other stakeholders such as (but not limited to)
  • Group companies
  • Bank
  • HMRC
  • Office of National Statistics
  • Management & Employees
  • Auditors
• Monitors and confirms financial condition by performing balance sheet reconciliations and reporting of KPIs
• Provision of financial information to support activities within other areas of the business to help guide financial decisions
• Highlight and investigate any areas of concern & assist Financial Controller with any other duties

Skills & Experience Required

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or Finalist with at least 5 years’ experience in a Finance function or Financial Audit.
• Well organised with a strong focus on controls and processes and an eye for detail
• Maintenance of high standards, diligently applying the appropriate level of accuracy to all tasks
• Action oriented with the desire and ability to challenge the established way of doing things, changing processes, controls and procedures to better suit the needs of the business
• Up to date technical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A strong commitment to the provision of good customer service
• Used to working in a culture that embodies the values of respect, performance and boldness
