Kerfoot Group, a leading supplier of natural, organic and essential oils, butters and waxes for the personal care and hygiene sectors, has revealed a sharp upturn in European demand for plant-based oils recorded by its Polish warehouse and distribution hub.

In a partnership moving into its second year, Kerfoot Group has aligned with chemical distributor Cornelius Group to bring the Kerfoot range of oils and ingredients to the Polish and continental Europe market though its established Warsaw warehouse and distribution centre.

Kerfoot has also noted upward market trends across Poland, the sixth largest cosmetics market in Europe, focusing on product innovation, premiumisation and consistency of supply.

Simon Corner, Sales & Marketing Director at Kerfoot Group, commented: “There has been accelerating activity as brands both in the UK and Europe prepare for post-Brexit changes, looking for stability and a robust value chain. The patterns we have seen from our Poland distribution hub have really shown that our strategic geographic positioning has been on-target.

“The market appetite for personal care product innovation across Eastern Europe has showed no sign of slowing down, and our team is able to make this simple for Kerfoot customers across the continent.”

Kerfoot has established strategic partnerships with key ingredient producers around the world, which meet the shifting and evolving needs of personal care brands. Manufacturing its own oils, as well as offering on-site oil testing and storage facilities, the business has also launched a dedicated blends division to the personal care sector. Designed to simplify new product development, the process creates value by infusing carrier oils with additional flavours, aromas or characteristics, without the need for additional handling, storage or auditing.

Simon added: “I believe there are two core elements to our ongoing success in the region. Firstly, as a member of the Avril Group, we have enviable reach and purchasing power with the technical support of a global powerhouse. This means we can provide premium quality ingredients to our customers at competitive pricing, wherever they reside.

“Secondly, in partnering with Cornelius Group, we have been able to draw on their warehouse and logistics experience and reputation, which in tandem with our own, creates a smooth and streamlined experience for our customers in Europe. The highest quality ingredients are always where they need to be, when they’ve needed. Plus, our comprehensive audit and due diligence process is resonating with brands looking to give consumers the provenance and traceability that is so crucial in today’s ever-shifting retail environment.”
