The first ever Northallerton 10K

Sunday morning 29th May 2016 saw the first Northallerton 10K with all proceeds going to the Pendragon Community Trust. Specifically helping towards the development of a multi-sensory centre caring for people with a wide range of disabilities. A well worthy charity that we are all aware of here at The Kerfoot Group.
The event was the very first of its kind to take place in the town and proved to be a sell-out with 600 participants keen to be part of this memorable day.

Charity Bike Ride

Following on from the blog about our 12 hour Sponsored Bike ride in aid of the ‘Alzheimer’s Society’ charity on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd April, here’s the news you’ve all ben waiting for………….the amount raised! 1. Explain your role in a maximum of 2 sentences. I am PA to Jennifer Kerfoot our Chief Exec, PA to Anthony Lawrence the Interim MD & I also assist the rest of the Board when they need it. I am also the company travel agent and arrange most of the corporate entertainment – I’m multi-functional!

At the Kerfoot group we have decided to support a different charity every quarter. We got our employees to nominate and vote on the charities they would like us as a company to support throughout 2016.
Over the coming week we have charity events going on at all out sites in aid of Alzheimer’s’ society. For this event we have decided to do a 12 Hour Sponsored Bike Ride – HOW CRAZY!
We are going to keep the wheels turning on an exercise bike for a full 12 hours in reception

Introducing ‘The Incredibles’

February saw the introduction of our first ever ‘Employee of the Month’ scheme. Over the previous months we spent a lot of time looking into the different ways we can recognise and reward all the great things that our employees do. Once all the research, information and ideas had been digested, ‘The Incredibles’ was born.
This monthly recognition scheme was created to give our employees a way of nominating those individuals that have helped, supported and gone the extra mile

Our New Trailer KFT20

It is my pleasure to welcome the newest addition to the Kerfoot Group, our new trailer KFT20.

She is a triple axel, pillar-less curtainsider, Manufactured by Lawrence David.

Fruity Friday at The Kerfoot Group

Christmas has certainly been and gone and January has been a “fit & healthy” month for us at The Kerfoot Group. From Northallerton to Goole every Friday in January has been a “Fruity Friday”! All the staff has been spoilt with an abundance of fruit to enjoy, helping us to achieve our 5 a day.
With plenty of variety on offer there was something to suit everyone! From zesty citrus fruits to sweet berries; the choices were pretty incredible.

Employee of the Year – Finalist

We’re thrilled to announce that Davie Walker, Development Technologist, has been shortlisted as a finalist for Employee of the Year at the Goole and Howdenshire Business Excellence Awards 2015! Davie’s selection as a nominee by the Management team was a unanimous decision and he has now been selected by the business awards committee as a finalist.
